Reloaded Events announces major gaming festival for 2008 - Posted by Cheeky Chino on 05.11.2007

Adelaide – South Australia's reputation for being on the cutting edge of IT is about to get a boost, with the largest ever gathering of Australian computer gamers set to take place at the Adelaide Showground early next year.

The Reloaded Festival 2008 will be held on January 26th and 27th 2008. It will be the biggest gaming event in Australian history and the largest LAN Party event ever held in the southern hemisphere. Reloaded Festival 2008 will feature PC and console gaming tournaments, anime displays and competitions, a digital art competition, tabletop war gaming and much more.

Of specific interest to the Modding Community should be the Thermaltake Armor+ case Mod Competition, which will decide the best modded computer at the event.

Current estimates place attendance between 1200 and 1500 people, over a thousand of who will be attending the LAN gaming events. A major feature of the Reloaded Festival will be the massive CounterStrike: Source competition, with more than 40 five man teams expected to compete for glory - and the $5000 in cash prizes!

The Reloaded 2008 Festival continues to build on the success of previous years, including the sell-out Reloaded 2 event of 2007, which attracted over 500 people to the St Clair Recreation Centre. Pictures and a report of that event can be found here.

The Reloaded Festival 2008 is backed by Adam Internet, a South Australian Internet Service Provider. Major infrastructure support is provided by Valhalla LAN Parties.

Logitech G7 (Carbon Fibre special edition) Review - Posted by Cheeky Chino on 27.06.2007
Logitech G7 (Carbon Fibre special edition)
Its awsome to hold in your hand, it fits perfectly like its molded! With the battery inside the mouse, it does get quite heavy, but for some gamers who like heavy mouses, maybe not enough. I must admit, I liked having two buttons on the side of my MX518 for net browsing (back and forward) but the G7 only has one, that defaults to Back on your browser.

Ancient Wars: Sparta Review Review
As seems to be commonplace amongst the RTS at the moment, Ancient Wars gives you the choice of playing three factions, the Egyptians, the Persians and, of coarse, the Spartans.
